
SHANGHAI, CHINA (13 April 2010) – The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) announced today that the Board of Directors has approved the charter for the Greater Shanghai Chapter of IFMA, the first Chapter for Facility Management in the People’s Republic of China. The official, historic announcement was made during IFMA’s Facility Fusion event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
IFMA is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers supporting more than 19,500 members in 78 countries. The association’s members manage more than 37 billion square feet of property and annually purchase more than $100 billion in products and services.
Formed in 1980, IFMA certifies facility managers, conducts research, provides educational programs, recognizes facility management degree and certificate programs and produces World Workplace, the world’s largest facility management conference and exposition.
The Shanghai Chapter of IFMA is the leading FM authority in the Asia Region and is dedicated to serving the Facility Management profession in China.
