It is one thing to work when you have to, but it is quite another to work in an industry when you are motivated by reaching new heights of innovation and exceeding even your own expectations. IFMA offers industry professionals these opportunities and so much more. Having worked in the industry as a construction and integrated facilities management specialist in the US for many years, I joined IFMA Shanghai not only for its career development opportunities but also to explore the dynamics and challenges of an emerging FM market through its global knowledge network. Though in its infancy, IFMA Shanghai has taken on a leadership role dedicated to educating its members, helping them overcome industry challenges, and bringing the facilities management industry in China to international standards.

I just feel excited that finally I am one of the members of IFMA. I have been working in FM industry for over 16 years, and I learned that FM is developing so fast in China. China has a vast base of facility managers, however, the FM industry organizations or associations in China is not catching up the industry developing pace. As a Facility Manager, I believe sharing resource and knowledge is one of the best way for the growth of facility professionals. I am so happy to see that IFMA is taking the leadership of consolidating the FM resources in China, making us connected with the global FM industry.
